The International Trade and Forfaiting Association (ITFA) is partnering with Global Trade Review for GTR Trade Finance Investor Day 2026 in London on 10 November. According to ITFA’s announcement, the one-day gathering will examine opportunities for investing in trade finance, with a programme focused on its development as an asset class and how it is adapting to changes in the investment landscape.
The event is scheduled to run from 08:00 to 17:00 at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower, at 1 Cadogan Place. ITFA says participants will include institutional investors, asset managers, trade finance banks, non-bank originators, fintech businesses and insurers. The announced programme brings together discussion of trade finance investment with sessions on connections between banks and capital markets and the mobilisation of insurance and pension capital into trade assets.
Andre Casterman, founder and managing director of Casterman Advisory and an ITFA board member, will represent the association as moderator of two sessions. His first panel, scheduled for 14:35 to 15:20, will consider models for connecting banks with capital markets in trade finance. George Wilson, representing ITFA’s ARC, is also due to speak in that session, according to the association’s announcement.
Casterman will then moderate a closing session from 16:25 to 17:00 on bringing insurance and pension capital into trade assets. ITFA’s notice links to a fuller agenda and additional speaker information, while identifying these two panels as the sessions in which its board representative will take a moderating role.
ITFA has also announced a 10% attendance discount for its members. The reduction applies to the investor rate, normally £399, and the standard rate, normally £899. The association says the offer is limited to new registrations, with passes available on a first-come, first-served basis. Members seeking the discount are instructed to contact the organisers and reference ITFA.
