Independent reporting on the financing of world trade
Trade Finance Monitor is an independent trade publication covering letters of credit, trade credit, commodity finance, fintech platforms and the capital rules behind world trade.
Trade Finance Monitor covers the financing that moves world trade: letters of credit and documentary collections, borrowing base facilities, secondary trade debt, syndicated credit lines for mid-tier traders, fintech trade platforms, and the Basel IV capital requirements reshaping the business. We write for traders, trade finance bankers, credit funds, fintech founders, investors and the officials who set the rules.
What we publish
Daily market reporting, weekly analysis, interviews with people who move capital, and dedicated coverage hubs for the companies we follow closely. Every story carries a content label — original reporting, aggregated coverage, press release, contributed or sponsored — so you always know what you are reading.
How we work
Reporting is sourced from named market participants, official filings, exchange and regulator data, and reputable trade sources. Where a story is built on another publication's work, we say so and link to it in an attribution footnote. We do not publish anonymous allegations about the companies we cover.
Independence
Commercial relationships never determine coverage. Sponsored material is labelled as such, is never written by the newsroom, and never appears as news.
